Broder Daniel was a music group from Gothenburg in Sweden .
Career
The collaboration between the musicians Henrik Berggren (* 1974) and Daniel Gilbert (who left the group in 1995) went back to the 1980s, but the group had only been officially active since 1994/1995. At times Johan Enerskog (until 1997) and Håkan Hellström played with her .
In 1998, three of their pieces were used for the soundtrack of the Scandinavian film Fucking Åmål , which was very successful in Scandinavia , which gave the band access to a wider audience.
Anders Göthberg, the band's musical engine and guitarist, jumped to his death on March 30, 2008 from the Västerbron Bridge in Stockholm. In his honor, Broder Daniel played one last concert at the “Way Out West” festival in Gothenburg. There they performed the newly written song "Hold On to Your Dreams", dedicated to Göthberg. After the concert, the band broke up.
Most recently (2005) the band consisted of Henrik Berggren , Anders Göthberg (1975-2008), Pop Lars (Lars Malmros) and Theodor Jensen .
