description

The three-storey wall stud construction with hanging posts is considered the oldest surviving middle-class half-timbered house in Wetzlar. The building serves residential purposes and consists of two parts of the building of different ages: the striking left part of the house was dated to the year 1356, while the right, eaves part of the house was added in the 17th century.

The building shows the typical construction of the medieval half-timbering with flattened headbands, flattened bars and projecting projections on slightly grooved lugs. In 1986 the half-timbered house was completely restored.
