Broichsdorf

Broichsdorf is an old district of the municipality of Falkenberg in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg (Germany) and is located between the community center and the district of Amalienhof.

history

Broichsdorf is an old colonist village. It was founded in 1776 by colonists who settled here because of the drainage of the Oderbruch . The name was given by Gottfried von Jena from Cöthen (Mark) in honor of his wives, both daughters of the Prussian State Minister von Broich. Between 1875 and 1925, between 400 and 450 people lived in Broichsdorf. On January 1, 1926 Broichsdorf was incorporated into the municipality of Falkenberg (Mark) together with Amalienhof.
