Brorfelde Observatory
The Brorfelde Observatory (Danish: Brorfelde Observatoriet ) is an astronomical observatory (IAU Code 054) and is home to the Brorfelde- Schmidt telescope . Until 1996 it was a branch of the Observatory of the University of Copenhagen . It is near Holbæk .
The Schmidt telescope, which originally (1966) had an opening of 50 cm and a mirror diameter of 75 cm, has been modified several times and today has a free opening of 45 cm, a mirror diameter of 77 cm and is with a 2048 × 2048 pixel CCD -Camera equipped. Students use the facilities; the research center of the Niels Bohr Institute is now located in Copenhagen, in the “Rockefeller Komplekset”, address Juliane Maries Vej 30 .
