Brother Snakeoil & The Medicine Men is a German blues band .

style

Brother Snakeoil & The Medicine Men play a pretty rough, traditional electric blues , with approaches that can be assigned to the Chicago blues and the Texas blues . Among other blues musicians and connoisseurs of the scene, the band's slow blues songs are often highlighted and Jens Turowski's singing voice, his intensive guitar work in connection with the highly dynamic and dramatic presentation of the band are emphasized. Jens Turowski wrote the lyrics and music for most of the pieces.

Career

The band was founded in 2014 in Düren by the musicians Jens Turowski ("Brother Snakeoil") and Klaus Brunschede. Both had broken out of an existing cover formation to play "real" blues. Sporadically since 2018, the current permanent member of the band is the British harmonica player Little Roger C. Wade. The band has been confirmed several times by the trade press that they play at an international level and can certainly keep up with the American blues acts.
