Bruce Gilberd

Bruce Carlyle Gilberd CNZM (born April 22, 1938 ) is retired Anglican Bishop of Auckland .

Life

Bruce Gilberd attended King's College in Auckland and studied at the University of Auckland . After his ordination he became a curate in Devonport and from 1968 to 1971 vicar in the Auckland suburb of Avondale . From 1985 to 1994 he was the eighth Bishop of Auckland of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia , a member of the Anglican Communion .
