The Bruchhäuser Foundation is a public foundation with legal capacity under civil law.

The purpose of the foundation is to promote art and culture and, in particular, to promote the memory of the artist Karl Bruchhäuser . After Bruchhauser's death in 2005, the Bruchhauser Foundation was first established as an independent foundation. In 2008 it was transferred to a legal foundation. The purpose is achieved through the conservation, processing and exhibition of his work, especially in the Neitzert house in Steimel .

The mayor of the Puderbach community , the mayor of the Steimel community and two representatives named by the Bruchhäuser family, currently Andreas Bruchhäuser and Carsten René Beul, are represented on the board .
