Brucoli is a fraction of Augusta in the Italian Free Community Consortium Syracuse in Sicily .
The place lies on the east coast of Sicily and extends at a height of 0 to 11 m slm over an area of about 0.65 hectares. It is located about 6 kilometers from the center of Augusta around a small, rocky peninsula.
A seaside resort and snorkelling area for tourists developed from the former fishing village. A fortress from the 15th century, which was used to protect against pirates, is worth seeing.
