Brynjar Níelsson (born September 1, 1960 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Independence Party ).

Brynjar is a lawyer and has had his own law practice since 1991. From 2010 to 2012 he was Chairman of the Icelandic Bar Association. Since the Icelandic parliamentary election on April 27, 2013 , Brynjar has been a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the constituency of Reykjavík North . He is a member of the Constitutional and Supervisory Committee (1st Vice-Chairman) and the Committee on Environment and Communication, as well as a member of the Icelandic delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe .
