Meunier Battalion

The Meunier Battalion was a battalion in the Spanish Civil War . At the same time as the Thälmann battalion , the battalion was formed at the end of October 1936 in Albacete , the headquarters of the International Brigades . It consisted primarily of French and Belgians .

The Meunier battalion may have been assigned the number N o 7 . The battalion was named after Hugues Alexandre Joseph Meunier , a French general during the French Revolution .
