The Bay of Buka is situated on the Timor Sea , in the southwest of the island of Roti , leading to the Lesser Sunda Islands belongs. The bank belongs to the Rote Barat Daya district . The district capital Batutua is also on the coast . At the east end of the bay is the island of Lai , in the south the bay frames the island of Manuk .
