The Bulgarian-language Wikipedia (Bulgarian: Българоезична Уикипедия) is the Bulgarian version of the international Wikipedia project. It is written in Cyrillic script . The Bulgarian language version had more than 246,000 articles in November 2018, making it 34th among the largest Wikipedia language versions.
Users
The Bulgarian language Wikipedia had over 240,000 registered users in September 2017, of which 687 were viewed as active in the last 30 days. Users can choose their usernames in Cyrillic, but they must be aware that this name will then also be shown in other language versions and Wikimedia projects. In order to avoid language problems, Latin letters should be used.
history
The Bulgarian language Wikipedia was set up on December 6, 2003. In 2005, the Wikipedia version had more than 20,000 articles, making it 21st of the largest Wikipedia language versions. In 2007 it was over 50,000 and the Wikipedia version was in 30th place.
On May 24, 2010, the Wikipedia logo was briefly changed with the number 100,000 to celebrate the 100,000 articles.
On June 12, 2015, the site had over 200,000 articles for the first time.

Since March 2010 the Bulgarian language Wikipedia has been using Wikimedia Commons for the integration of multimedia content. The files that already existed in the wiki were moved to Commons.

Awards
In 2009 the Bulgarian-language Wikipedia was nominated as the Bulgarian website for the development of the Bulgarian Internet .
