The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists ( report sheet of the Atomic Scientists ) is a non-technical magazine, which this deals with global security and issues, focusing especially on the issue of a possible nuclear war . It has appeared continuously since its creation in 1945 by the physicists of the Manhattan Project following the nuclear strikes on Japan . The primary goal of the bulletin is to publicly debate and inform about nuclear policy and to advocate international control of nuclear weapons . It has been published by Sage Publications since January 2009 and has only appeared online and free since then .
