The Boomerang was a magazine with topics about indigenous peoples, which appeared between 1994 and 2010 with a length of up to 48 pages. The magazine was published by the Association for Indigenous Peoples (BfN), which was renamed the Association for Indigenous Peoples in 2009 and existed until 2011.

The magazine contained documentaries and reports on the historical and current situation of indigenous peoples, especially critical reflections on German colonialism. The main content was supplemented by stories for children, book tips, reviews, appeals for donations and the latest news. The style was called belletristic .

The target group of the magazine were "those interested in nature and ethnology, teachers, schoolchildren, students, biologists, nature lovers and conservationists, human rights and environmental groups, and third world initiatives".
