Association of German Arbitrators

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Federation of German Arbitrators e. V. (BDS), based in Bochum, is the federal association of arbitrators . It is subdivided into 12 regional associations and 77 district associations , analogous to the structure of the regional court districts. In Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Bremen and Hamburg, the BDS and thus the arbitrators working there are not represented.

In particular, the association organizes the training and further education of the voluntary arbitrators who are important for the pre-trial settlement of disputes and the offender-victim reconciliation .
