Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein

The Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein (BELK) is an association of five Lutheran churches ( parishes ) in Basel and north-western Switzerland founded in 1967 ; the member communities in Bern , Geneva , Zurich and Vaduz ( Liechtenstein ) have around 3,794 church members (as of 2019). It has been part of the Lutheran World Federation since 1979 .

The task of the BELK is to promote the solidarity of the member communities.

The decision-making body is the Federal Assembly, which meets twice a year. Each member church is represented by three delegates, including a pastor.

The Federal Assembly elects the Federal Board, which consists of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and other members, for two years.
