Association of Dutch Architects

The Federation of Dutch Architects (Dutch: Bond van Nederlandse Architecten , actually Koninklijke Maatschappij tot bevordering der Bouwkunst Bond van Nederlandse Architecten ) is a professional association for architects in the Netherlands . It represents 2900 members and 1400 offices (as of September 2006).

history

In 1908 the Bond van Nederlandse Architecten emerged from various professional associations . HP Berlage was the driving force behind the association , which in 1957 rejected the title "Koninklijk". Since the members of the Nederlandse Architecten Vereniging joined in 1990 , the BNA has been the only professional organization for architects in the Netherlands .

aims

The association represents the social, economic and cultural interests of architecture and architects for its members in order to create an optimal working basis. The BNA wants to be an inspiring and stimulating platform for its members. The cultural mandate is directly linked to safeguarding the interests of its members in daily professional practice; Within the BNA, architects are constantly working on improving working conditions.
