Association of the displaced civil servants in the German Association of Officials
The federation of displaced civil servants in the German civil servants' union (abbreviation VERBAOST ) was founded in 1948 as an association of fled and expelled ("displaced") civil servants, employees and workers of the public service and their survivors.
It represented the interests of the officials, including the post office and the train , also known as the 131s , who had been expelled from the German eastern territories and the Soviet-occupied zone or the GDR , and disbanded in 1978.
Publications
From 1954 to 1974 they published the magazine Der Verbaost . Before that, the magazine was called The Refugee Officer and Authority Employee .
