Federal Council (Iraq)

As Federal Councilor ( Arabic مجلس الاتحاد, DMG maǧlis al-ittiḥād ) of Iraq designates a planned legislative council to be established according to the 2005 constitution . It should consist of representatives of the regions and the governorates that are not organized in the regions. In the foreseeable future, a law, which requires a two-thirds majority of the Council of Representatives , is to be passed, which should regulate the form, the membership conditions and the specialist areas.
