The Federal Association of German Singing Pedagogues e. V. (BDG) is an association of singing teachers from the field of music colleges, music academies, conservatories and music schools, as well as independent singing teachers in Germany.

history

The association was founded on April 16, 1988 in Detmold . He is a co-founder of the European Voice Teachers Association (EVTA) and has also represented the interests of voice teachers in Germany as a professional association since 2018. The association has more than 1285 full, student and supporting members (as of 2020).

The president of the association is Marilyn Schmiege.

tasks and goals

The association aims to promote cultural education in the field of singing with its various genres. It offers advanced and advanced training courses, forums, congresses and interdisciplinary cooperation in order to convey new insights into voice research and teaching strategies and to promote professional exchange.

There is a cooperation with the Association of German Music Schools (VdM), the German Music Council (DMR) and the German Tonkünstler Verband (DTKV).
