Bernd Reinert

Bernd Reinert (born June 11, 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2008 to 2011 he was State Councilor at the Hamburg Authority for Science and Research .

Life

Reinert is married and has three children. After primary school in Hamburg-Kirchwerder , he attended the Hansa-Gymnasium in Hamburg-Bergedorf . He left school in 1970 with a high school diploma. He then completed basic military service . From 1971 to 1977 Reinert studied social studies with a focus on political science , English and education at the University of Hamburg . From 1975 to 1976 he was employed as a research assistant at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg. From 1979 to 2004 Reinert was a high school teacher , most recently at the Lohbrügge high school.

politics

Reinert joined the CDU in 1969. He was a member of the Junge Union (JU). He was u. a. active as district chairman of the JU and later of the CDU in Hamburg-Bergedorf and deputy state chairman of the CDU Hamburg.

From 1974 to 1993 he was a district member of the Hamburg-Bergedorf district assembly , most recently as deputy parliamentary group chairman. Since October 1993 he has been a member of the citizenship of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. As citizenship deputy he was a member of the urban development and the construction and transport committee. From March 2004 to March 2008 Reinert was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Hamburg parliament.

On May 9, 2008 Bernd Reinert was appointed State Councilor of the Hamburg Authority for Science and Research and for this reason had to renounce his citizenship mandate in the 19th electoral term. In the course of the change of government in 2011, he was put into temporary retirement.

Other offices

Reinert was chairman of the State Political Society from 1988 to 2001. V. He is the author of the “Bergedorf Blog” of the Hamburg State and University Library (see web link). From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the NDR board of directors.
