Federal Association for Roller Shutters + Sun Protection
The Federal Association of Roller Shutters + Sun Protection e. V. (BVRS) is the top professional organization for the roller shutter and sun protection engineering trade in Germany . The association, founded in 1961, currently has 16 professional guilds and regional associations. In addition, around 115 companies in the supplier industry are affiliated with it in the form of sponsoring memberships. The office is based in Bonn . The president of the BVRS is Heinrich Abletshauser (Freiburg), while Reinhard Kowalewski (Berlin) and Matthias Klenner (Klostermansfeld) act as vice-presidents. General manager is RA Ingo Plück. As a professional association, the Federal Association is a member of the Entrepreneurs' Association of German Crafts (UDH) and thus of the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH).
tasks
The federal association represents the interests of the roller shutter and sun protection technician trade as well as in cooperation with the industry association ITRS for the sector as a whole. In addition to contacts with politics in Berlin and Brussels, this also includes external representation in the form of press and public relations work. Once a year, in April, the association organizes the nationwide roller shutter and sun protection day. In addition, the association takes care of questions relating to vocational training and further education, in particular it is responsible for looking after the apprenticeship as a roller shutter and sun protection mechatronics technician . In addition, the association advises and supports its members in technical and numerous questions of corporate management and is involved in national and European standardization work . The association is the professional sponsor of the leading international trade fair for roller shutters, gates and sun protection - R + T, which takes place every three years in Stuttgart. He publishes the trade magazine R + S, which appears ten times a year, and he is the brand owner of the RS-Fachbetrieb brand , which is exclusively available to guild members for external presentation.
history
The first interest groups for roller shutter manufacturers already existed at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1903, for example, the Association of German Blinds and Shutter Factories was founded. However, this only lasted until 1909. Further organization followed, for example the Association of German Blind and Shutter Manufacturers in 1913. The first craft guilds emerged in Berlin in 1926 and in Leipzig in 1927. The organizational reorganization after the Second World War began on September 3, 1947 with the establishment of the roller shutter and blinds manufacturer's guild in Cologne. Other regional guilds followed. However, before a new nationwide organization was founded, it was not until January 20, 1961, when the working group of roller shutter manufacturers was established in Wiesbaden. Heinz Roßkamp from Düren became the first chairman . On May 27, 1961, the working group became the Federal Association of German Roller Shutter Manufacturers, which has been called the Federal Association of Roller Shutters + Sun Protection since 1978. (Since 2007 the spelling has been adapted to the new spelling, i.e.: Bundesverband Rollladen + Sonnenschutz.)
Bodies
The federal association is led by a five-member honorary presidium, which is elected for four years. The Presidium is supported by the office in Bonn under the direction of the General Manager. There are also several technical committees. The highest decision-making body is the assembly of delegates , consisting of the representatives of the member guilds and associations. As a rule, the delegates meet twice a year - once in spring and once as part of the association's main meeting in autumn. The sponsoring members from the supplier industry are represented in the annual sponsoring members conference and in the industry advisory board, which meets twice a year and whose members are appointed by the president.
