Burattino

Burattino (also Buratino ; Italian : jumping jack, Kasperle) is the Russian counterpart to Pinocchio created by Alexei Nikolajewitsch Tolstoy in the story The Adventures of Burattino or the Little Golden Key (1936) . In contrast to the German Gäpfel Kern , the figure is still very popular today (dolls, books, films, games).
