The Šelmberk Castle (German: Schellenberg ) is a ruin in the Upper Palatinate Forest ( Český les ) around one kilometer west of Ostrůvek ( Inselthal ) in the municipality of Lesná ( Schönwald ) in the Okres Tachov in the Czech Republic . It is located not far from the German border near the Zlatý Potok ( Goldbach ) between the Mlýnský vrch ( Mühlberg ) and Knízecí stream ( Plesmetzberg ).

Only a few kilometers away is Schellenberg Castle on the Upper Palatinate side below the Havran ( Großer Rabenberg ) .
