The Geilenkirchen Castle is a lost moated castle to the left of the Wurm in the city of Geilenkirchen in the Heinsberg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The castle was built in the 12th century by the Counts of Heinsberg to secure the ford of the Wurm on the Roman road Aachen- Roermond .

Today the remains of the castle are integrated into the Episcopal Gymnasium St. Ursula after it was destroyed in 1945.
