Heudorf Castle in Hegau

The castle Heudorf Hegau is a Outbound castle in Heudorf in Hegau , a municipality Eigeltingen in Baden-Württemberg district of Konstanz in Germany .

The remains of the former castle were discovered during construction work on the street Am Plätzle in the center of Heudorf and are still visible. During earthworks, three-meter-thick remains of masonry came to light there and, due to their thickness, were assigned to a castle complex, probably from the 13th century. The castle was very likely owned by the Lords of Heudorf , who were first mentioned in a document in 1261. This finding is confirmed by the naming of the neighboring Burgstrasse . No further information is known.
