Burgstall Hechenberg

The Burgstall Hechenberg refers to an abandoned spur castle about 100 meters west of the church of St. Valentin von Dietramszell - Hechenberg in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district in Bavaria .
About 200 meters east of it is the castle site of the abandoned tower hill castle Hechenberg .

The castle was probably founded in the 11th century by the Lords of Hechenberg. From 1487 to 1559 the castle was owned by the Dominican monastery in Augsburg .

Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.
