The castle wall of Schossow , a district of the municipality of Tützpatz in the Mecklenburg Lake District , is a Slavic castle wall . It is located in the forest west of the village.

The remains of the former Niederungsburg are hardly recognizable as such in the summer months, as the castle grounds are completely overgrown. In the colder months of the year, the conspicuously small hill fort is easier to see. At first glance, it looks like a natural pit. The typical castle wall shape is present. The castle area is oval and extends from 40 to 50 meters. This makes it one of the smallest Slavic castles in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It was in the Tollensian territory and probably belonged to a local nobleman. Excavations have not yet taken place here. The castle type can be assigned to the 10th to 12th centuries. How defensive such a small hill fort was in an attack is difficult to say. As an additional obstacle to the approach, the Slavs built their facility on a lake that is now almost silted up. In addition, the surrounding moors protected the weir system.
