Bursa anserina

The Bursa anserina is a bursa in the area of the knee joint on the inner side belt under the pes superficial , of the common tendon of the musculus semitendinosus , the musculus gracilis , and sartorius muscle .

Inflammation of the bursa ( bursitis anserina ) leads to load-dependent pain on the anterior inside of the knee and occurs mainly in connection with pes anserinus syndrome .
