Harpe is the name of an Estonian noble family .

The Harpe were in Estonia resident and were supposedly in 1785 from Russia ennobled . The brothers Karl , Wilhelm and August von Harpe (sons of the upper pastor William Harpe and Catherine of Schonert ) received in 1790 from the Saxon kingdom Vicariate the Empire Knights - and nobility with "noble of". Karl and Wilhelm von Harpe were entered in the Estonian nobility register in 1809 .

The blazon is as follows: Shield: quartered.

  • I. In the field, which is divided from black to red, a slanting green olive branch, crossed by a slanting left gold-edged silver sword .
  • II. Erected in gold (the resonance box turned to the right) a blue-stringed harp .
  • III. In silver, an uprooted green tree. IV. From red to silver with crooked tips (teeth) divided obliquely to the left. Two helmets rest on the shield.
  • Helmet I (crowned): sword and olive branch as in field I between two buffalo horns divided from black to red .
  • Helm II (uncrowned): the harp from field II between open golden flight .
  • Covers : red-silver-blue-gold.
