Butylka

Butylka ( Russian Бутылка ), the bottle , was a Russian measure of volume and liquid. The measure developed from a vessel for measuring liquids and was valid until the introduction of the metric system around 1899.

  • 1 Winnaja Butylka = 1/6 Wedro = 0.786 liters ( wine )
  • 1 Vodotschnaja Butylka / Piwnaja Butylka = 1/20 Wedro = 0.615 liters ( water / beer )
