Buzzer beater

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a buzzer beater (English to German literally siren Conqueror ) is in the Basketball a litter called, a game takes place shortly before the sounding of the buzzer, and the game in the last minute decides ( Game Winner ) or brings on a tie. However, throws that are made at the end of a quarter or half, regardless of the score, are also called buzzer beaters. For a basket to count, the ball must have left the player's hand before the final siren. The basket itself can be achieved with or after the siren.

Buzzer beaters are often spectacular because at the end of a game or a quarter there is usually no time to play a free throw. They are therefore often thrown from a great distance.
