The Bysjön is the largest of four lakes on Norra Ulvön . The lake is 900 meters long and up to 450 meters wide, but sometimes only 150 meters. It is fed by several small brooks, the only drainage is a brook to the east lying Kvarnsjön . The Holmen on the east bank, which was mapped as an island in 1971, is now connected to the bank by siltation, and there is a small cemetery on it. The village of Sörbyn is located on the north bank . The water supply of the main town of Ulvön, Ulvöhamn , is fed by the Bysjön.
