C. Hoare & Co. is a British private bank . The bank was founded in 1672 by Sir Richard Hoare and is still family-owned. It is the second oldest bank in the UK and the fifth oldest bank in the world. She is currently administered by the eleventh generation of Hoare's direct descendants. The company is based in London .
