CADdy (software)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

CADdy is a CAD program from the former Ziegler Informatics GmbH and is continued today by DataSolid, IGE + XAO-Group and Wenninger Geoinformatik.

The software is used for mechanical construction in 2D / 3D, as well as solutions for computer aided manufacturing (CAM) , electrical engineering , finite element method (FEM) , GIS (graphic information technology) and product data management (PDM) .

There are different modules for:

  • architecture
  • electronics
  • Electrical engineering
  • GIS
  • mechanical engineering
  • steel construction
  • measurement
  • Event planning
  • Electrical installation
  • Control cabinet structure

From around 1992 Windows programs were developed for various areas of application under the designation CADdy ++ .

CADdy Classic Surveying is being further developed by CADdy Geomatics GmbH. There are modules for surveying calculations, planning and CAD, DTM, road construction, sewer construction and administration.

CADdy GIS / Cartography is a graphic information system based on Windows, which is suitable for the administration of graphic information, documents for route planning and route guidance and for creating maps.

In the meantime, a browser-based solution has been published under the name WebCaddy.

The CAD software for electrical engineering is developed by the IGE + XAO-Group under CADdy ++ electrical .

The CADdy ++ Maschinenbau product has been developed by DataSolid since 2001 and is a 2D / 3D package that is based on the ACIS core from Spatial and thus enables compatibility with other CAD systems. CADdy ++ PDM is a product data management system.
