The CARO Autovermietung GmbH is a company for car and truck rental with headquarters in Bremen .

history
CARO Autovermietung GmbH was founded in July 1998 by Stefan Peters, who has been managing the company since then. With the takeover of the companies Pott GmbH Autovermietung, Hagen and AKW Rent a Car, Fischbachtal and the simultaneous opening of further rental stations on October 1, 2001, the establishment of a German network of stations began. The CARO Service Center (CSC) was opened on July 9, 2003. It takes central reservations and forwards them to the rental stations. Central fleet management has been integrated into central fleet management.
On May 1, 2004, the 10th CARO rental station opened in Berlin. On February 1, 2010, CARO entered the new business field of tourism. At the beginning of 2012 a close cooperation with onewaygo GmbH begins.
Since February 2012, CARO Autovermietung has outsourced all processes related to the control and control of their vehicles as well as the associated document and key management to the service provider DAD.
Christine Meyer will be the further managing director from January 1, 2013. At the beginning of 2014, CARO will open off-airport stations in Munich / Freising and Frankfurt / Kelsterbach. Vehicles from the US manufacturer Tesla have been integrated into the CARO fleet since the beginning of 2014 and have since been offered in some major cities in Germany.
In May 2017 CARO was acquired by Enterprise Autovermietung Deutschland BV & Co. KG .
Stations
CARO Autovermietung maintains a network of approx. 50 full-service stations as well as various other delivery stations all over Germany.
