The locomotives of the series VIII of the Orientbahn (CFO) were express train steam locomotives of the type 2'C n4v, which were delivered from 1897 by the locomotive factory Wiener Neustadt and Maffei to the CFO and the SCP .

history

CFO VIII

In 1897 the CFO purchased three locomotives of this series from the Wiener Neustadt (Sigl) locomotive factory. They received the series VIII and the numbers 55–57, directly following CFO 1–54 (from 1937: TCDD 33.501–508), the first locomotives of the CFO. It was followed by the similar class IX locomotives with the numbers 58-60 (from 1937: TCDD 35.504-506). After the nationalization of the CFO in 1937, the class VIII locomotives were taken over by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) as 35.501-503 .

SCP 61-69

The Société Ottomane du Chemin de fer de Smyrne-Cassaba et Prolongements (SCP) procured nine more locomotives from 1900 to 1911 from the Wiener Neustadt and Maffei locomotive factory that corresponded to the CFO machines. They were given the numbers 61–69 and were classified by the TCDD as 35,001–009 after the nationalization of the SCP in 1934 .

TCDD

The TCDD had taken over all twelve machines. They were likely retired before 1956.
