BigJohn.FM (CJYC-FM) is a rock radio station from Saint John , New Brunswick , Canada . The transmitter is operated by Maritime Broadcasting Systems. Other sister stations are CFBC, an oldie station, and CIOK-FM (K100 - Today's best music), which are also located in Saint John.
history
The station began broadcasting as CFBC-FM in 1965 as the first station in New Brunswick. The broadcast studios were on Carleton Street in downtown Saint John. In the mid-1990s, the studios moved to Chesley Drive. In 1997 there was another move to the premises and the Maritime Broadcasting Systems building on Union Street.
