The Club Polideportivo Cacereño is a football club from the Spanish city of Cáceres , Extremadura . The club, founded in 1919, plays in the Tercera División , Group 14 for the 2017/18 season .
history
In its almost 90-year history, Club CP Cacereño, founded in 1919, first played in Spanish professional football. In the 1952/53 season they were represented in the Segunda División , but had to relegate again after only one year. Most of the time the club spent in the Spanish Tercera División , which was initially third, later fourth division.
In the 2003/2004 season, CP Cacereño once again made a name for itself when the club qualified for the Copa del Rey . After a 1: 2 home defeat against Deportivo Xerez , however, the end came in the first round.
Stadion
CD Cacereño plays in the Estadio Príncipe Felipe , Cáceres , Extremadura , which has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. The stadium was inaugurated on March 26, 1977.
