CSpace is a platform-independent instant messenger that is released as free software under the GNU General Public License . The software works decentrally using the Kademlia protocol.

safety

The program uses encryption as standard and establishes connections with the help of OpenSSL . All users receive 2048 bit RSA keys. A user only sees the RSA key and the user name of another user; further details are not required when creating a profile. Each user is recognized in an unalterable way by his public RSA key, the private key is not passed on.

When registering, you assign a nickname to your personal RSA key , which is managed centrally, for the sake of user friendliness .

Screen sharing

CSpace offers the option of screen sharing with a contact . The VNC protocol is used for this. This function is interesting, for example, to help other people with PC problems.
