CT Serpentis (also Nova Serpentis 1948 ) was a nova that appeared in the constellation Snake in 1948 and was recorded on September 30, 1948. It is believed that it achieved a brightness of at least 6.0 mag , which was an extrapolation of its light curve. The Nova reached an actual brightness of 9.0 m and then faded.
