CableACE Award
The CableACE Award (ACE stands for Award for Cable Excellence ) was an award given between 1978 and 1997 for American cable television productions . Hosted by the National Cable Television Association , it was a counter-event to the Emmy Awards , which did not award any prizes for cable television. Since from 1997 Emmys for cable television productions are also awarded, the distribution of the CableACE Awards has been discontinued.
The award ceremony was mostly broadcast on Lifetime or TBS .
