The Cabo Abenante is a cape on the northern edge of the Antarctic Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf east of Berkner Island . It is located on the western foothills of the Baie Chica .
Argentine scientists made the naming in 1958. It is named after the soldier Mario Bruno Abenante, who died in the coup against the Argentine President Juan Perón in September 1955.
