Cabo Vilán
The Cape Vilán ( gal. Cape Vilan ) is a cape on the Costa da Morte in the province of A Coruña of Spain . It is located at the tip of a small granite peninsula about 30 km north of the famous Cape Finisterre .
On the 104 m high plateau stands one of the oldest lighthouses in Spain. The range of the 24 m high tower is up to 30 nautical miles (55 km). In the company building there is a small museum with exhibits from the history of the lighthouse; u. a. the Fresnel lens with the electric arc lamp and a direction finder from Marconi from the late 1920s.
