The donkey Cadichon tells a story from his life in each episode. From the second season it is mainly about his trips to different places in the world. In his experiences with people he has to find again and again that not everyone is well-disposed towards him.
The series is based on the work Memories of a Donkey by Comtesse Sophie de Ségur .
Production and publication
A total of 20 episodes were produced in two seasons, each with ten episodes, each lasting around twelve minutes. It was first broadcast on Canal + on September 6, 1986 .
In Germany, the series first ran on Tele 5 in the series Bim Bam Bino and later in the period from 1994 to '98 on RTL II , among other things as part of the children's program Vampy . In addition, the first two episodes were released on VHS cassette.
