Caecilius Lucanus

Caecilius Lucanus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

An inscription found at Ilkley and dated 161/169 shows that Lucanus was prefect of a cohort. According to John Spaul , he was prefect of the Cohors II Lingonum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia .
