The Caffè alla valdostana (French: Café à la valdôtaine or Café à la cogneintse , German: Aosta Valley coffee ) is a specialty from the northern Italian region of Aosta Valley . It is served in restaurants and privately to say goodbye to friends. The Caffè alla Valdostana is served in "grolla", also "coppa dell'amicizia" (French "Coupe de l'amitié", German friendship cups ). It is a traditional drink in the Aosta Valley.
