Cageball (from English cage = cage) is a ball sport game developed by soccer trainer Jörg Berger (game idea) and business economist Martin Rinke (development and marketing).

background

The game is based on the idea of being able to play and train football even in bad weather conditions . It comes closest to traditional indoor soccer . There are a few exceptions, however. As the name "Cage" suggests, you play in a cage . This should make the game more dynamic and faster. It supports the technical component of a soccer training session.

matchfield

Cageball is played on artificial turf . The playing field has a size of 23 × 15 meters, but can also have a different size depending on the hall conditions. The playing field is framed by a 1 meter high board above which a closed net is located. So the ball always stays in the game and rules such as throw-ins are completely eliminated. A cageball team normally consists of three field players and a goalkeeper, whereby the goalkeeper can also take a "flying" position. The height of the goal can be adjusted so that small (3 × 1 meter) and large (3 × 2 meter) goals can be played alternatively.

regulate

Normal football rules apply to fouls and deliberate handball. Free kicks must be taken directly. The offside rule does not apply, and there are no throw-ins and kicks from goal.
