matchfield
The term playing field refers to an area of a certain size
- in team sports
- at party games
- at the board game
The size and shape of the playing field differ and / or vary depending on the type of sport or game. In most cases, line-like playing field markings serve as a boundary . They are on the ground or in the air (in this case by means of ribbons or the like); in board games, they mark the game board .
Playing fields in sports
The size can vary within a sport. According to the DFB, a soccer field, for example, can be between 90 and 120 m long and 45 to 90 m wide - a very small field would therefore not even be half the area of a maximally large one. According to the FIFA and UEFA standards, pitch dimensions of 105 m × 68 m are recommended in football and sometimes also prescribed in international competitions.
