Caherkirky
The two closely neighboring Boulder Burials (also Boulder Tombs) of Caherkirky are on a flat pasture, near the upper reaches of the Ihernagh (river), in the townland of Caherkirky ( Irish Cathair Chirce ) northwest of Clonakilty ( Irish Cloich na Coillte ) in County Cork in Ireland .
Burial 1 is the western of the two boulder graves, which are only about 5.0 m apart. The approx. 1.0 m thick capstone is 2.4 m long and 2.2 m wide and rests on three supporting stones. The sloping surface faces west.
The approximately 0.8 m thick capstone of the smaller Burial 2 is 1.7 m long and 1.3 m wide. A supporting stone is visible below the capstone on the eastern side.
A menhir 2.7 m high, 1.9 m wide and 0.5 m thick stands northeast of the Boulder Burials. The massive stone tapers towards the base.
